Creamy Tomato Basil Tortellini Soup

I recently created what is to date and will forever in my heart be the easiest and most delicious tomato basil soup. Naturally, now that I discovered that I am able to make this dreamy soup, I needed to put other stuff in it.

Scrolling through Pinterest, I saw this new thing to put tortellini in tomato soup and cook them right in there. Well, I tried it and then I was once again left speechless and delighted with the result. It gave me serious spaghetti O's that we all had as kids, or Tuesdsay's for lunch if your Matt, and I loved it. A great idea, that was not mine, but with my soup and shaved parmesan and basil sprinkled over the top. It's just *chef's kiss* perfecto!

Follow the recipe for The Easiest, Delicious Tomato Basil Soup and once it comes to the simmering step, turn up the heat, get a low boil, toss in the uncooked tortellini. Reduce the heat again to low/medium for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Finish with fresh shaved parmesan cheese and a few sprinkles of basil. YUM.

I just had to share another photo. It was too pretty to be left in a folder on my desktop.
